0844 Numbers and also 0843 numbers are known as Non Geographic Numbers. This number range has been provided to overcome some of the problems of 0845/0870 numbers such as not being callable from abroad. Although they are known as 0844 numbers our range is 0843 or 0844 these are the same. There are two types, 5 pence per minute or 5 pence connection followed by 5 pence per minute after the first minute.

We only pay an outpyament for call traffic that originates from the UK and when diverted to a landline. There is no outpayment when the calls are diverted to a Mobile number. Payments are paid 45 days from month end or from when BT pay which ever is sooner.
0845 and 0870 are no longer able to give call share to the companies using them. 0844 numbers can provide call share revenue and are therefore popular with companies offering specialist advice, information, breakdown or technical support lines.
